Georgia's Third Year

On his day three years ago, Georgia came into our lives via a greyhound rescue organization. She is my shadow, my velcro dog, my anti-depressive pill and my best friend. She always has a smile at the ready and a wag in her tail. I hope I make her as happy as she makes me; although I sometimes think the love we have for our nonhuman animals pales in comparison to the unconditional love they give us. I mean who else in the world will ALWAYS be happy to see you?

A cake I made yesterday using a coconut cupcake recipe from "Vegan with a Vengeance" and orange roses found on my doorstep.

Diaper Bag

A diaper bag I made for my sister-n-law for her baby shower last weekend. I found this cute pattern and had to give it a whirl. The only real issue I had was sewing with PUL which was PEW...haha...that stuff is slippery to sew with, but it is supposedly waterproof so good for the inside of a diaper bag.

Snails and Orange Mushrooms

So i came across a snail on my screen door and decided it needed a much safer place to reside...and so I plucked it off and stuck him on one of my glass mushrooms.

Ode to Orange

So orange is my favorite color and just the other day I realized my meal du jour was completely orange (orange carrots in small bowl and homemade pico in large bowl). Oh lucky day...I just had to snap a pic. Occasionally, I will be giving a shout out to all things Orange.
