The ending is sad, Fhiona. But just remember that they had over a decade of friendship together! :) I have a huge love for stories of animals from different species that become great friends and form such strong bonds. Animals have a lot to teach us humans! :)

I have tears. Glad they had the bond; so sad that it had to end, elephants have such nobility.
