An old illo I did for a tween magazine about blushing. I like the bl/white version of the guy better (b/c I modeled him after my guy), but they wanted me to give him 'trendy' hair...ah the compromises of an illustrator :)
Gorgeous! A simple idea capture perfectly. Thanks for showing the original drawing as well - while I see what you mean, I think the classic picture book look of the finished version and the addition of colour, more than compensate for the compromise you had to make.
Hey Sheree! Great take on the topic... I hadn’t seen any other blushing illos. It does feel like I’m burning up when I’m blushing :o) I like the sketch guy too.... Doesn’t that just “burn” you! :o)

Really lovely and it's a great interpretation of the theme. Ah, compromises with clients ;) I think both illustrations look quite good though.
