Yesterday, I went with my greyhound, Georgia, in tow to the annual fall ball fundraiser in Bellmont Lake State Park here in Long Island and hosted by Grateful Greyhounds. It's a great chance to hang out with fellow greyhound lovers, see and perhaps adopt some 'fresh off the tracks' greyhounds, and to help support a worthy cause. Georgia had a great time greeting all the greyhounds and she'll go just about anywhere if it means a ride in the car! These are just a couple of the many pic's I took. The one at top is of Georgia sitting quite nicely; not a favorite position for greyhounds to be in. Greyhounds have this funny way of 'hugging' both greyhound & humans alike by wrapping their heads around one another (Georgia is at the bottom in the 2nd pic) or by wrapping their head around your legs!

Georgia is so very beautiful and elegant! And I just love the way greyhounds wrap their heads together, it looks so loving and tender!
I bet you both had a ball! Georgia looks like she's having fun. Love your description of the grayhound hug : )
