Lazy

I've been so lazy when it comes to my blog and participating in Illustration Friday. I haven't been feeling very inspired lately --- a problem I tend to have. So this illo is for a job I did recently for a "tween" magazine. I illustrate the Q & A for their health and beauty section. It is pretty fun as the topics are funny (looking back into the rear view mirror of puberty I can say that) and I can be a bit wacky. And as usual, I try to throw animals in the mix. This Q & A is about shaving and how the girls legs still look splotchy as the roots underneath the skin are still visible...Isn't growing up fun. :)

Glad to see your post, I was wondering what you were up to lately.

I hear you, those times when we are lacking inspiration feel so awkward and will pass as always. Enjoy yourself and replenish your juices. Spring is almost here!

I'm so glad you are back, I missed your posts!

This is wonderful Sheree. Love the colors, composition and the dog too!

Don't worry, we all go through those stages.. Hope you feel better and more inspired soon :o)

If only they had helpful tips about shaving back when I was a tween! Nice illo. I know what you mean about that bit of inspiration! I too feel exhausted, especially when I think about my leg hair...

Is that a Bedlington Terrier Sheree? Those doggies are so funny, they look like sheep :o)

Nice illo! Especially like the composition. And the dog! He looks like he's absentmindedly contemplating all the splotchy legs!!
(Or maybe its just the way my mind works)
:D

Really sensitive and lovely. It wouldn't be as strong without the dog - you have great instincts!

Great work! I love seeing the little dog added in, and your subtle textures are wonderful.
