H1N1

This is a job I did awhile ago for Girl's Life Magazine. I thought it was appropriate given the 24/7 media coverage of the swine flu....and yes, it is easier to say 'swine flu' than H1N1...

Sissy

Sissy napping on the stairs...I imagine one of these fine days I will break more than a toe trying to avoid stepping on Miss Sissy.

Gardening

It's unbelievably hot here in NY so I spent some time planting in the garden. Luckily my cilantro and oregano survived the winter so I decided to start growing all my other herbs and most vegetables from seed. We'll see how that goes...Georgia found it way too hot and stuck to the shade.

Basement Finds

So last year I dug up some daffodils, stuck them in a zip lock bag and stored them in a cool dry place in the basement. This is what I found last month....they already sprouted. Needless to say, I took them above ground and planted them in a pot. Unfortunately they have yet to bloom unlike all the other daffodils in the garden.

This is a photo of a small side garden on the main strip in downtown Buda, Texas.

The Long Drive

I recently got back from a long drive from TX to NY to see family. And look, I have a photo of them! Just kidding, they aren't all a bunch of roosters and hens. Now, if i had a photo of some turkeys..... :)
