My 2 Lovely Assistants

So I have these two truly amazing assistants always at the ready as you can see. They are quite loyal; always at my side. Now they don't do coffee runs nor do they collate or take notes. Their specialty is showing me the art of taking a break....a really really long break that involves napping, twitching, several yawns and repositioning oneself so as not to get achy backs or nap sores. I know what you are thinking: where can i get such a loyal assistant? Well, as fate would have it there are lots of assistants at your local shelter ready to curl up at your side and show you what life is really all about. Do you have a trusty assistant by your side?

Illustration Friday: Cracked

Nothing like wearing a cracked egg on your head. Ok, not very original, but eggshells on animals' heads 'crack' me up. What can I say, I'm feeling punchy being chained to my computer all weekend trying to finish a big job. Meanwhile, everyone else is enjoying the long holiday weekend here in the States. Here is a photo of part of our table at Surtex; its basically my side of the table. You can see the kids book I did several years ago and my Owl card for Hallmark. If you need a Fathers Day card for your Grandpa please run down to your nearest store and buy mine. :)

In the coming weeks Heidi and I will be talking about Surtex and our thoughts about showing there for the first time.

Illustration Friday: Contagious

Is it just me or do you also find lazy napping animals contagious? It's like an invitation for you to take a nap as well. This is an illustration I did for the March/April issue of Turtle Magazine.

Be Kind to Animals Week

May 3rd marked the first day of 'Be Kind to Animals Week.' My dog Georgia thinks every day should 'Be Kind to Animals Week', especially if it means getting tasty cookies. Here's a silly sketch I did of Georgia last year.
