Greyhounds and Couches

I have read that greyhounds like couches and Alicia Padron even stated that sofas are their favorite spot. Well, just yesterday Georgia discovered her love of couches --- I let her sit there b/c we inherited the couch with the house and b/c she looks so darn cute! I think my blog is officially going to the dogs....

Georgia's first snow

We had quite a bit of snowfall here in New York and as Georgia is a retired racer from Florida she did not know what to make of this crunchy white powder. She hopped, jumped, chattered her teeth and dragged me through the snow with a swiftness only a greyhound can muster. Overall it was a pretty humorous morning, but I could tell she was glad to be back inside....

Georgia

Today we greeted the latest member of our family: our newly adopted greyhound, Georgia. In her previous life as a racer in Florida she was known as Rapid Roah, but we thought it fitting to christen her with a new name so she can begin her new life as a pampered and beloved dog. None of this would have been possible without the help of Grateful Greyhounds who rescue and place greyhounds in their "forever homes."
